About Kahli
Kahli is an Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Accredited Mental Health Social Worker currently based in Busselton WA. Kahli’s journey begun with graduating from a Bachelor of Social Work from Griffith University (2019). Kahli has 6 years experience working with adolescents and young adults in various mental health services across NSW, QLD and WA. These services include complex trauma therapeutic services, headspace centres & government mental health services.
Kahli believes first and foremost that the therapeutic relationship is the most powerful tool in therapy. That’s why Kahli’s approach to therapy is all about showing up authentically and embracing her warm, compassionate and curious nature to foster a safe, authentic, non-judgemental space for you to show up as you are. Kahli works from a trauma-informed, holistic, strengths-based approach - acknowledging that you are the expert in your own life and aiming to work collaboratively to achieve your desired outcome.
In addition to the power of the therapeutic relationship, Kahli draws upon her knowledge and experience utilising various modalities, trainings and evidence-based interventions to assist you in exploring your emotions, beliefs, parts of self, patterns of behaviour, relationships, experiences and challenges.
Some of the approaches and modalities Kahli draws upon includes: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solutions-Focused Based Therapy (SFBT), Art Therapy Principals, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Motivational Interviewing (MI) & Eye Movement and Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR).
