Services & Fees

Telehealth services.

Advantages of Telehealth Therapy:

  • Accessibility - Allows you to access therapy outside of your community or if you reside in rural/regional areas.

  • Flexibility - Easier to schedule appointments around work, travel, activities and other commitments.

  • Comfort - Access support in the comfort of your own home or familiar space, no waiting rooms & more private.

  • Cost & Time Effective - Reduces financial and time costs of travelling to an office for sessions.

Potential challenges & considerations for Telehealth Therapy:

  • Privacy - You’ll require a quiet, private, safe space to complete your session.

  • Technology - Reliable device and internet with camera/microphone. Tech difficulties do occur but we can problem solve together.

  • Limited non-verbal cues - If you are someone who struggle with non-verbal cues it may be more difficult to engage online.

  • Safety - If you are struggling with severe mental health difficulties or experiencing urgent safety concerns, you may require more intensive, in person support than what Telehealth session can offer.

Walk’n’Talk services.

Advantages of Walk’n’Talk Therapy:

  • Natural & Energising - Movement is a natural mood booster, helps reduce stress and can support reflection.

  • Relaxed setting - Can feel like a more casual setting and approach than a traditional therapy room.

  • Comfort - Can be more comfortable as you’re ‘doing something’ opposed to just simply being seated talking.

  • Positive lifestyle habit - Combining walking with therapy promotes positive lifestyle habits and incorporated mindfulness.

  • Nature - Exposure to natural environments, natural light and fresh air supports our nervous systems which can help soothe the mind.

Potential challenges & considerations for Walk’n’Talk Therapy:

  • Privacy - All sessions are confidential but outdoor spaces mean others may be nearby, consideration to privacy needs to be considered.

  • Weather - Consideration for weather and environment can impact sessions (ie. rain, heat etc.). Sessions may need to be adjusted.

  • Mobility & Accessibility: Sessions tailored to your comfort and ability, consideration to suitability and safety is required.

  • Session focus - Some sessions or exercises may need quiet seated spaces where walking may not be suitable. We adapt as needed.

Funding Options

Medicare Mental Health Care Plans:

  • If you have a current Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) from your GP, you are entitled to a rebate for your sessions.

  • Medicare allows up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year.

  • We require a copy of your Mental Health Care Plan prior to your first appointment.

How Mental Health Care Plans work:

Book an appointment with your GP, ensuring they’re aware you are wanting a Mental Health Care plan so the GP is prepared. GP will run through a range of questions with you to assess your mental health, discuss your needs. Your Mental Health Care Plan is tailored to your needs and situation and outlines goals of therapy and recommended treatment. You can request what practitioner you wish to be referred to. Once you have a Mental health Care Plan a GP review is required after session 6 to access a further 4 sessions. Your Clinician will liaise with GP as required.

Self Funded:

  • We accept referrals and provide services to privately paying clients or if you’ve run out of MHCP funded sessions and wish to continue therapy.

  • A fee of $175 for 50 minute session applied.
